What we do
Spoken English, made visible as it happens.
What Cued Language Transliteration is
Cued Language Transliteration conveys spoken English, and the sounds that matter in the room, into Cued Speech as it happens. Qualified, human Cued Language Transliterators (CLTs) do the work, and the Cued Speech user follows the message in real time, alongside everyone else. CueReach plans the staffing, so you make one request and get one confirmation.
✓ Remote by live video, or on site by arrangement
✓ Classes, lectures and full school days
✓ Meetings, trainings, appointments and events
What Cued Speech is
Cued Speech makes spoken language visible. It uses 8 handshapes and 4 placements near the face, together with natural mouth movements, so sounds that look alike on the lips look different on the hand.

It is not ASL, and it is not captioning.

FAQ
Questions buyers ask first.
Still have a question?
Email hello@cuereach.org. We aim to reply within one business day.
Is Cued Speech the same as ASL?
No. ASL is its own language, with its own grammar. Cued Speech is a visual way to show spoken language: handshapes and placements near the face, read together with the mouth. CueReach provides Cued Speech transliteration only. We do not provide ASL interpreting, CART or captioning.
How much does it cost?
One clear hourly rate for the service, however long the session and however many people attend. One‑hour minimum per session, then 15‑minute increments. Ask for our rate sheet (send us a message or email us), and your written quote states the rate before anything is booked.
Can we talk before we book?
Yes. Schedule a 30‑minute consultation on Zoom, or send us a message and we aim to reply within one business day.
Can you cover a full school day?
Yes. A full school day is billed at the same hourly rate as a short class. CueReach plans the staffing for long days; you send the schedule and we take it from there.
Do you work remotely or on site?
Remote‑first: sessions run by live video, on the platform you already use. Remote sessions carry no travel charge. On‑site work is by arrangement, and any travel is quoted and approved in writing first.
How fast will you reply?
We aim to reply within one business day with a written quote. A request is booked only when CueReach sends written confirmation. For a short-notice request, email us with “Short notice” in the subject.
Can we book a recurring series?
Yes. Recurring classes and meetings can be confirmed as one series. We aim to keep staffing consistent across a series when schedules allow. If a change is needed, CueReach arranges a qualified replacement; you do not need to do anything.
Who does the transliteration?
Qualified, human Cued Language Transliterators (CLTs) from CueReach’s contractor roster. We handle qualifications, scheduling and provider paperwork internally, so you never need to vet credentials or approve an individual provider.
Which video platforms do you use?
The one you already use, such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet. You send the meeting link. We need clear audio of every speaker, and the Cued Speech user needs a clear view of the transliteration video (pin or spotlight it).
Do you record sessions?
CueReach does not record sessions. No recording, rebroadcast or AI training without written consent. AI note-takers and transcription tools that capture the session count as recording. If your organization plans to record, tell us before we confirm.
How do agencies work with you?
Send each request the same way: a message here or an email. We confirm in writing and plan the staffing, and you get one itemized invoice per booking. Agencies: Net 15 for approved agency accounts. Net 30 only with a verified purchase order or AP process and written approval.
